EQUIPPED FOR THE FUTURE

Devoted to being the leader in the non ferrous castings alloy industry, we are constantly updating our aluminum and brass sand casting processes, adding the latest equipment, and researching new ways to offer even more cost effective services to our diversified clientele.

NON FERROUS CASTINGS EQUIPMENT

MOLDING:
Two new automatic molding machines
(Robert Sinto FBO 11 14"x19" and FBO III 20"x24")
  • Provide greater mold hardness per square inch
  • Easier core setting with greater accuracy
  • Designed to eliminate part shift
  • Less downtime due to design and PLC control
  • Two airset molding mixers
  • Squeeze molding lines

DUST COLLECTION:
Two dust collection systems one for the sand system, the other for metal fume
  • Sand system and shake out rated at 50,000 CFM
  • Fume system rated at 50,000 CFM
  • Brass grinding system rated at 6,000 CFM
  • Aluminum grinding rated at 6,000 CFM
  • Pattern shop rated at 5,000 CFM
  • CFIVI Results from air quality testing meet OSHA environmental standards
Extensive fume/dust collection system exceeds
EPA standards.

ALUMINUM MELTING:
Ten 1000 lb. and one 2000 lb. Thermtronix furnace with PLC temperature controls.
  • Quick recovery melting time
  • Multiple alloy capabilities
  • Fewer defects due to highly accurate and consistent temperature control
  • Rotary de gasing with use of argon gas reduces defects caused by hydrogen
  • Casting sizes 1 oz. To 600 lbs.

State of the art aluminum melting and de gasing allow for porosity free metals poured.

BRASS MELTING:
Induction furnaces with controlled temperature accuracy

  • Two 200 KW Ajax induction lift-swing crucible furnaces
  • Extensive monorail system allows pour-off to keep up with molding cycle time
  • Casting sizes 1 oz. to 250 lbs.
Automated brass and aluminum pouring capabilities match
molding cycle times, ensuring efficient work flow
.

SAND SYSTEM CONTROLS:
Hartley Compactability Controller

  • Allows for near perfect compactability, giving molds consistent sand, thus reducing casting defects
  • Ability to tailor compactability to meet requirements of any job
  • PLC controller with self diagnostics identifies sand system problems immediately (this contributes to greater molding efficiencies)
Hartley compactability controller ensures
consistent sand quality, thus reducing casting defects.

SAND SYSTEM:
State of the art sand system capable of mixing 100 tons of prepared green sand per hour

  • Allows for thorough mulling/mixing consistently
  • Heavy duty construction and built in ease of maintenance guarantees less downtime
Diagnostic systems controls identify problems immediately to avoid downtime.

SHAKE OUT:
The shake out is integrated with the automatic molding machine so that all parts are deposited at one central location allowing for expeditious cleaning.

The equipment listed above represents our commitment to provide you with up-to-date technology, quality and cost effectiveness in the production of aluminum castings, brass castings, sand castings and other foundry services.
